StudyBlue.com, the online home to store lecture notes and make flashcards, with efficient tools that help focus studying, wanted to extend their reach and membership base among college students across major universities through digital and physical WOM buzz and brand awareness.

Solution

YMC and StudyBlue.com developed a scalable on-campus program to drive online membership through on-campus brand awareness and WOM buzz through existing StudyBlue.com engagement.

  • StudyBlue.com Campus Reps became the college faces and voices of the StudyBlue.com brand. Reps were hired based on the traits of being approachable, clever, and having a strong network of peers to effectively communicate the benefits of StudyBlue.com.
  • Each Campus Rep was responsible for planning and executing an assortment of approved day-to-day activities including promotional item distribution, social media outreach, and physical WOM with friends, classmates, faculty, and student organizations.
